Florence Rucker Collins

Florence Rucker Collins (May 1921–Nov. 4, 2015) was an American aviator, geologist, researcher and conservationist.

Florence was one of the major founders of the Northern Alaska Environmental Center (NAEC), she also chaired the [https://www.nps.gov/gaar/learn/historyculture/subsistence-resource-commission.htm Subsistence Resource Commission] (SRC) for over 2 decades; leading them to promote harmony between the users and the preservation of the Denali National Park. Collins was also honored by the National Park Service for her work.
