William Deresiewicz
William Deresiewicz ( ; born 1964) is an American author, essayist, and literary critic, who taught English at Yale University from 1998 to 2008. He is the author of ''A Jane Austen Education'' (2011), ''Excellent Sheep'' (2014), and ''The Death of the Artist'' (2020).His criticism directed at a popular audience has appeared in ''The Nation'', ''The American Scholar'', ''The New Republic'', ''The New York Times'', ''The Atlantic'', and ''Harper's''.
