Louise McNeill

Louise McNeill (9 January 1911 – 16 June 1993), also known as Louise McNeill Pease, was an American poet, essayist, and historian of Appalachia. She began teaching in a one roomed schoolhouse in West Virginia and would eventually move on to teach at other universities. She would eventually become a professor of history and English at West Virginia University where her archives are held today. Provided by Wikipedia
