William Thornton Whitsett

William Thornton Whitsett William Thornton Whitsett (August 5, 1866 – March 22, 1934) was an American educator, poet, author, historian, and genealogist. He was the founder of the Whitsett Institute, an academy for the education of young men in Guilford County, North Carolina. The town of Whitsett grew up around the institute. Provided by Wikipedia
