Sally Wister

A silhouette of Sally Wister, her only known likeness Sarah Wister (July 20, 1761 – April 21, 1804) was a girl who lived in the Province of Pennsylvania during the American Revolution who authored ''Sally Wister's Journal''. Written when she was 16-years-old; it is a firsthand account of life in the nearby countryside during the British occupation of Philadelphia during the American Revolutionary War in 1777 and 1778.
