In the shadow of Vesuvius /

Since the days of the Roman empire, the numerous eruptions of Italy's Mount Vesuvius have devastated whole cities and towns, also destroying Pompeii and Herculaneum in A.D. 79. Describes how the volcano affects the lives of some two million people who now live in its shadow.
