State of Vermont. An act to enable persons who have settled and made improvements on lands under supposed titles, and otherwise without legal title, who shall be driven out of possession by a legal trial at law, to recover the value of what the estate is made better by such settlement and improvements, from the legal owners of the land; and to direct the manner of process therein.
