Volume 1 rebound, date stamp on back paste-down: August 10, 1934. Vol. 2 in contemporary calf; new end-papers covering the original bookplate engraved by P.R. Maverick and the Notice of trustees; bookplates present in volumes 3-6. Crudely rebacked. An inscription on front free end-paper recto, volume 6 covered by tape, "New York 17th February 1797" in ms, black ink. |
