Discusses COPS reauthorization under P.L. 109-162, the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005; reviews legislation in the 110th Congress and COPS appropriations, including Administration budget requests; and summarizes evaluations and audit findings reported by GAO, the Office of the Inspector General, and the National Institute of Justice.
